It convenes two aspects that are key to who we are as a brand: ocean & sustainability.
If you ask us, there is something magical - somewhat healing - about being in proximity to the ocean. Regardless if you are enjoying the salty water or just breathing the salty ocean air.
However, we as a society have failed to protect it. Every year, 12 million tons of plastic are dumped into our oceans. Now who needs healing is the ocean.
This is what pushed us to create a more circular option for men's swimwear. We started by dreaming of cleaning the ocean and beaches we usually go to, and turning that plastic into inspiring sustainable products. Basically taking the waste and create something that allowed us - and you! - to go back and enjoy that same ocean and beach we are trying to preserve. And that's also how our slogan was born: "From the ocean, to the ocean"!
But we quickly realised that we cannot do this alone, we need a group of like-minded people - a circle of friends! Are you ready to join our circle and help clean the ocean?

We live by the coast in Portugal. The Atlantic (Atlântico in Portuguese) is the ocean that we love and enjoy on a daily basis. It's what inspired us to create this brand.
Some behind the scenes (aka the cute reasoning for the name ☺️): we are Marta and Agustin the co-founders of The Salty Circle, nice to meet you! Marta is Portuguese and Agustin was born in Argentina. We feel that the Atlantic Ocean is something that connected us even before we met.

The dyeing stage for printing patterns on fabrics is heavy on water and energy consumption, as well as on the use of chemicals. Until we find an eco-friendly solution in collaboration with our partners, we will keep it plain and simple!

Our swim shorts were designed to fit comfortably for you to enjoy all the adventures that the ocean and the outdoors have to offer!* Please note that measurements A, B and D are referencing the circumferences of those particular areas.
Shipping & Delivery

If the product you ordered is in stock, we'll process it within 2 business days. Once an order leaves our facilities, it usually takes:
• Portugal Continental and Spain: 2-4 business days.
• Portugal Islands: Madeira 5-7 business days & Azores 6-15 business days.
• Europe: 3-7 business days.
• International: 4-7 business days.
Note: Please keep in mind that these are estimated times. You will receive your shipping details after your order is confirmed. -
Shipping rates can vary depending on your region and are calculated at checkout.
• Portugal Continental: €5 / or Free Shipping on orders over €150
• Europe EU & Portugal Islands: €10 / or Free Shipping on orders over €150
• Europe non-EU: €15
• Rest of the world: €20
Note 1: At the moment we are not able to offer pre-paid duties and taxes. Please be aware that if you are ordering from a non-EU country, it could incur customs and extra charges.
Note 2: Incorrect or incomplete delivery address may result in the order being returned to our facilities and lead to additional costs. We recommend that you always make sure to check that the delivery address is indeed correct and complete.

Yes, we ship our products across the ocean and all over the globe.
Please remember that we are based in Portugal, and orders placed from a non-UE country could incur customs and extra charges. The Salty Circle is not responsible for these extra costs.To double check that we ship to your country, please send as an email or chat with us.
Exchange & Returns

We accept exchanges/returns of items within a maximum period of 30 days, provided that the item is delivered back to us in perfect condition, in the same way as it was sold and accompanied by the respective invoice, fabric and paper labels, packaging and any other elements that are part of the shipment.
There will be no exchanges/returns for products that have been altered, washed, used or damaged due to misuse of the same. The Salty Circle is not responsible for the misuse of its products, nor for their incorrect washing.
We always suggest you consult the Care Instructions tab on each product page. Before each purchase we also suggest that you consult the Size Chart, in order to make the most informed purchase possible. We will be happy to help should you have any questions.

For both, exchanges and returns, the customer must cover the shipping costs when sending back the package. We cannot be responsible for eventual losses in this process. If the products are lost no exchange or return will be placed. We recommend that the items are sent to us by registered mail.
We will not cover any taxes or customs fees for the returning items. This is worth knowing for customers from a non-EU country.
* Note 1: Although we can not cover your cost of sending the products back to us, we will offer the cost of the shipping of your 1st exchange.
** Note 2: If the exchange/ return is due to a mistake from our side (i.e. wrong product or size) we will support the shipping cost.

Step 1
If you want to make an exchange or return, please send us an email or fill the form in the Contact Us page. Make sure you include the following information:
- Full name
- Invoice number and date or order number
- Reference and size of the item you wish to exchange or return
- Reference and size of the article you wish to receive or indication of return, should you wish to do so
- Telephone number
- Address where you wish to receive your new article (in case of exchange).Step 2
Once confirmed from our side, carefully prepare the package and send it back to us. We will provide the shipping address by email.
Step 3
Once the item arrives at our address and successfully passes our quality control, we will send your new item and you will be notified as soon as it leaves our premises.
In case of a return, the money will be refunded in the same payment method you have used in a maximum of 30 days.
